The Shieldmaiden has been made available as a pdf file.
It is rather detailed and powerful. There shouldn't be shieldmaidens running around everywhere as this will cause some imbalance. Perhaps, the leader of a band and two companions might be shieldmaidens. The underlings would be standard female fighters.
